The Italian Society of Ergonomics is hosting the 20th international IEA (International Ergonomic Association) conference in Florence
It is the first time in the history of the 50 years of the IEA and the SIE that this event will take place in Italy.
The theme of the congress is “Creativity in Practice”, with reference to the typical challenge of the Italian way to innovation engaged to transform the results of research on innovation in concrete actions to improve the quality of life and work.
The event will be not only an occasion for researchers but also an international workshop devoted to the multidisciplinary work among professionals from different countries, all engaged in a brainstorming session to generate new ideas.
The world is changing very fast and we are pretty sure that this issue will be crucial for the future, we need the contribution of all areas of knowledge to solve today’s problems. The community of professionals who deal with ergonomics and human factors is capable of building a better world around people.
Florence is known as one of the most beautiful cities in the world and it proves that creativity is imagination but is especially practical concreteness.
The goal of IEA 2018 is to eat ideas, according to Giorgio Gaber:
“An idea, a concept, an idea until it remains an idea is only an abstraction. If I could eat an idea, I would have made my revolution.”
