During spring, Empower’s electricians working in a power line projects took part in ergo analyzing to find insight to the workload and work ergonomics. In addition, the ergo measurements compared the differences in climbing techniques between experienced and junior electricians and sought to identify best practices working in power line projects.

INSIGHTS OF EMG MEASUREMENTS IN WORK ERGONOMY DEVELOPMENT
When characterizing work and defining the exposed loads on workers one needs to concentrate on • force requirements, • amounts of static loads, • rest periods, • variability inside and between work-tasks and workdays. Muscle activity (electromyography, EMG) measurements have been conducted to define workloads in several industries and several studies have looked connection to …

TYÖPERÄINEN TUKI- JA LIIKUNTAELINTEN VIRHEELLINEN KUORMITTUMINEN: SEURAUKSET, SYYT, TOTEAMINEN SEKÄ EHKÄISEVÄT JA KORJAAVAT TOIMENPITEET
V.Louhevaara.
ELECTROMYOGRAPHY FOR ASSESSING NEUROMUSCULAR FUNCTIONS IN ERGONOMICS
Louhevaara V. 28 Dec 2014 Ergonomics Ergonomics (human factors) is the scientific discipline focused on the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system in order to optimize human well-being and performance and output of the system. Ergonomics is a multidisciplinary field having contributions from psychology, engineering, biomechanics, industrial design, physiology, and …

THE NEXT BIG THING IN ENDURANCE TRAINING: MBODY LIVE 3.0
“No pain – No gain”. In sports science, your body needs supercompensation during the post training period. After that you have gained higher performance capacity than it was prior to the training period. But where are the limits between overloading vs. non-progressive training? Without supercompensation there are no positive results. On the other end there is the risk for overtraining.
TRAINING LOAD, AN INNOVATIVE APPROACH
Mauro Testa, Biomechanic at Bologna F.C. 1909 S.p.A.
It is possible to describe our athlete as a chair. We have four legs, each one of them represent the main features that determine the talent. The four legs are: Mechanical or Biomechanical aspects (external load), physiological items (internal load), psychological aspects and technique and tactics items. In this article I would like to show how we record, with an innovative tool, two of these fundamental aspect of our player: biomechanical aspects related to injuries prevention and physiological states related to internal load or muscle load. But reading this article you can discover that, with this new approach, it is possible to record data releted to the others two legs of the simbolic chair.
USE OF MUSCULAR TRAINING ZONES IN PRACTICE
In the previous two articles we presented Myontec’s muscle fatigue threshold (MFT) analysis and training zones derived from it. Now we will go through how these zones can be used in practise and what benefit they bring.
